If you have a DS Lite with a broken hinge, then this is the case for you. It fits the DS exactly and effectively adds a new hinge. All you need to do is insert your DS lite into the case, open it to approximately the regular "open position", and apply a couple of pieces of double-stick foam tape to the back of the unit to stop the unit from opening too far. Voila! You have fixed your DS Lite! If the left hinge is in bad shape, you may need to add another piece of tape on the touch screen half of the unit right at the hinge to keep this side from popping out as well. I am currently using this case with a broken hinge DS Lite (the right hinge is MISSING). A great buy.
